Everyone wants to be healthy, and we at Everyone Health are here to make that happen.
Commissioned by Merton Council, we are here to help support older adults in the community to get active through a wide range of fun activities – making movement a part of your daily routine and exciting again!
Here at Everyone Health, we know that with old age movement often slows down and it becomes difficult to stay active which is why our service is here to help.
Through a range of adapted sport activities like seated exercise, pilates, dance and movement, new age bowls / new age kurling session, and so much more to choose from on our timetable – there is guaranteed to be an activity for each person to get involved in and grow a newfound love for!
All of our activities focus on increasing strength, balance and flexibility to help make you stronger and feel more confident on your feet.
Why be Physically Active
It is so important to keep up with your physical activity as you get older for so many reasons.
Being older and mildly/moderately frail puts you at an increased risk of falling – movement can help lower this risk as it improves your strength, balance and co-ordination.
Research has also shown that regular physical activity can prevent health issues such as heart disease and diabetes, and improves your immune system which is so important as you get older.
